Fairways and Bluewater Resort in Boracay bares expansion plans

Fairways & Bluewater Golf Resort and Country Club, the only luxury golf course in Boracay, undertakes new development to accommodate more guests and add more facilities to its list of amenities.

"Our goal has always been to serve the members and guests of Fairways, so that every time they visit, they experience something new. We hope that these new developments will urge them to visit us here more often," Fairways & Bluewater Chairman Toti CariƱo said.

Aside from deluxe accommodation for members, the Mulligan Golf Hotel and the 18-hole par 72 championship and luxury golf course designed by Graham Marsh, Fairways takes on expansion efforts in terms of accommodations and services.

The third phase of the Mulligan Golf Hotel, set to open in September, will add 24 studio, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units for non-members visiting the island, satisfying the demand especially during peak season. By the end of the year, 120 more units of the Balaihara New Coast Villatels will be turned over to Fairways management.

Balaihara New Coast Villatels is a completely furnished condominium building operated as a world-class hotel. Apart from receiving a substantial percent of the net income generated from visiting guests and families, unit owners of Balaihara condos are given 30 days free use, even including peak times of Holy Week, Christmas or New Year.

"Fairways will now be able to invite corporate accounts to set conferences to Boracay. Management is undertaking plans for the construction of a conference center to hold major events, company outings and conventions," Baby Ignacio, operations manager, said.

Another new improvement is the construction of a driving range that will be operational by October. Preparations are also being made for the annual Fairways Chairman’s Cup in November, a yearly golfing event met with much anticipation by avid golfers all over the country.
